Fresno, Calif.— The Reno Aces wrapped up their first series win of the season Tuesday with a 4-3 road victory over the Fresno Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park.

Bo Schultz went eight innings and allowed two runs, one of which was earned, on four hits to record the 25th win of his minor league career. It was also the longest outing of Schultz’ career.

Ender Inciarte opened the scoring with a bang in the third inning when he hit a three-run home run that plated Schultz and Nick Ahmed. It was his second home run in four games.

Fresno answered in the bottom of the frame with two runs. After Juan Ciriaco doubled to left, Chris Heston reached on a sacrifice bunt when Schultz threw the bunted ball by third baseman Nick Evans, which allowed Ciriaco to score. Heston scored two batters later on a sacrifice fly to center field.

Schultz took over from there, retiring 17 out of 19 Grizzlies batters.

Reno added what turned out to be the winning run in the fourth inning when Ahmed drove home Evans on a single up the middle with two outs in the inning.

Inciarte finished 2-for-4 on the night to record his team-leading ninth multi-hit game of the season. He also made a highlight-reel sliding catch with the tying run on second base and one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to help preserve the win.

Mike Jacobs went 0-for-4 on the night and saw his 17-game on-base streak come to an end. Jess Todd got the final three outs in the ninth inning to earn his third save of the season.

After an off day tomorrow, Reno will welcome the Salt Lake Bees to Aces Ballpark for a four-game set starting Thursday. First pitch for the first three games is at 6:35 p.m., and Sunday’s game starts at 1:05 p.m.
