Aces' Pollock, Bell, Jacobs Join Diamondbacks

RENO, Nev. - Three Reno Aces players were recalled by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Outfielder A.J. Pollock, first baseman Mike Jacobs and third baseman Josh Bell will be with the D'Backs for the remainder of the season.

Pollock was the MVP of the Triple-A National Championship game. He batted .318 with 25 doubles and 52 RBI this season in Reno. He also had 25 stolen bases.

Jacobs hit .279 with 60 RBI in 101 games with Reno. He also belted a team-high 18 home runs.

Bell ranked second on the team with 75 RBI. He batted .311 with 25 doubles and 12 home runs.

The Aces won the Triple-A National Championship on Tuesday night, beating the Pawtucket Red Sox 10-3. They were also Pacific Coast League champions this season.
