Aces' All-Star Jake Elmore Joins Astros

Former Reno Aces infielder Jake Elmore has been claimed off of waivers by the Houston Astros.

He was a Triple-A All-Star last season, batting .344 with 30 doubles, 9 triples, a home run and 73 RBI. He also had 32 stolen bases.

Elmore finished the season with the Arizona Diamondbacks, hitting just .191 in 30 games.

The Astros also claimed former Aces pitcher Sam Demel off waivers. He was 1-4 in 56 games with Reno, with a 4.07 ERA and one save.
