KUOPIO, Finland (AP) - Two-time Olympic champion Simon Ammann of
Switzerland won the ski jump Tuesday, edging closer to the overall
World Cup title.

Ammann soared 128.5 and 126 meters for 251 points, beating second-place Adam Malysz of Poland by 16.9 points. Malysz jumped 123 and 123.5 meters to edge Norway's Anders Jacobsen.

Ammann leads the standings by 183 points ahead of defending champion Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria, who finished 11th.

With two events left, Ammann needs just another 18 points to clinch his first overall title.

Ammann swept both individual events at the Vancouver Olympics and won the World Cup event Sunday in Lahti, Finland.
