Fields' 3 Sinks Eastern Washington

RENO - Brandon Fields hit the game-winner on Thursday night, as Nevada beat Eastern Washington 73-70 in the first round of the Las Vegas Classic.

Fields broke a 70-70 tie; hitting the three-pointer with four seconds to go. Fields finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. Forward Luke Babbitt led all scorers with 29 points and nine rebounds.

The win improves Nevada to 5-4 overall, and 5-0 at home this season.

They host Wagner College (1-8) on Saturday night in the second game of the Las Vegas Classic. The Wolf Pack will then travel down to Las Vegas to take on BYU (9-1) on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at 12pm.
