INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Former Indiana coach Bob Knight has returned to Indiana, where he will speak at a fundraiser for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on Thursday.
The appearance comes a little more than a month after Knight did not attend his own induction into the Indiana University Hall of Fame.
While there were many red jackets, shirts and sweaters in the crowd, Knight showed up in a green sweater.
Longtime friends of the winningest coach in Division I history said Knight agreed to do the event because he was in town to provide color commentary for ESPN's broadcast of Saturday's game between No. 21 Butler and Xavier.
Friends are also hoping that this may help thaw the icy relationship between Knight and Indiana University.
