Pack Soccer Comes Up Short In WAC Title Game

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State made a goal scored in the 23rd minute standup as the Broncos topped the University of Nevada soccer team 1-0 in the final game of the WAC Tournament Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, Nevada fell to 10-12 overall while Boise State improved to 13-6-4 and will make the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Broncos’ Erica Parks volleyed in a shot from six-yards out off an assist from Maureen Fitzgerald in the 23rd minute.

Nevada finished the game with eight shots (two on goal) while Boise State recorded 22 in the match including nine on goal. The Pack’s Natalie Ratnavira took a team-high four shots for Nevada.

Keeper Marie Cove made seven saves in the game while Liz Ruiz made two in goal for the Broncos.
