LAS VEGAS (AP) - Brazil's Robson Palermo won the third round of the Professional Bull Riders World Finals on Sunday, scoring 92.25 points on Black Pearl.
Palermo, first last year in the finals and one of only four riders to cover three bulls this year, is second in the 44-rider event with 266.75 points. He earned $25,000 for the round victory at Thomas & Mack Center.
JB Mauney placed eighth with an 88 on Black Smoke to hold onto the event lead with 269 points. Mauney was bucked off Grosswired in 6.0 seconds, but the bull stumbled and Mauney was granted a re-ride.
World standings leader Kody Lostroh was second Sunday with a 91 on Copp Hou, and Thiago Paguioto was third with an 89.5 on Bushwacker.
