Nevada's Dellena Criner scored 23 points and Jessica Preslar's basket with 32 seconds left gave Nevada a 61-to-60 win last night over Utah State in the quarterfinals of the Western Athletic Conference tournament.
Nevada, which is 17 and 13, advances to tomorrow's semifinals against 12-and-17 New Mexico State.
Utah State failed to score in the final five minutes and 43 seconds. The Aggies never got a chance to get off a shot in the final 32 seconds as Nevada, which had just three team fouls to that point, fouled three times and took much of the remaining time off the clock.
The Aggies' final chance came with about two seconds left, but they were forced to inbound the ball in backcourt and couldn't get off a shot before time ran out.
