DENVER (AP) - A young fan has been taken to a first-aid station at Coors Field after Albert Pujols' bat flew into the stands on a swinging strike.
Colorado Rockies officials declined to release any information about the incident that took place in the fourth inning of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals, citing federal privacy laws.
The team wouldn't say if the bat struck the young fan.
The fan walked up the stadium stairs on the third-base side on his own, holding his left arm as stadium paramedics followed.
