CONCORD, N.C. - After reaching her first final of the season, Reno's Karen Stoffer ran into a familiar problem.

Stoffer false started by six-thousandths of a second to hand Hector Arana a win in the Pro Stock Motorcycle class of the NHRA Carolina Nationals.

It has been a rough year for Stoffer who has just five first-round wins in 12 events with several false starts this season.

She won her opening round against Craig Treble before knocking off Junior Pippin and Shawn Gann to advance to the finals.

It was the eleventh time Stoffer has advanced to the finals in her NHRA career.
