OAKLAND - The Raiders have given Richard Seymour a deadline to report to the team.

ESPN is reporting that the Raiders sent Seymour a five-day letter, meaning he has five days to join the team or be suspended.

In the meantime, the Raiders re-signed defensive tackle William Joseph on Thursday. Joseph was cut by the Raiders on Sunday after the team acquired Seymour from New England in exchange for its first-round draft pick in 2011.

Raiders coach Tom Cable reiterated that he has spoken with Seymour and that he does want to join the team. Seymour is a five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle.
