DBacks Recall Aces Pitcher Cabrera

RENO -- Aces' right-hander Daniel Cabrera has been recalled by the Arizona Diamondbacks, but will not join the club until Friday, according to MLB.com.

Cabrera was 0-1 with a 6.14 ERA in four games with the Aces. After a rough start, he allowed just two earned runs in 9.2 innings. He walked five and struck out eight during that stretch.

Arizona will reportedly use him out of the bullpen for the remainder of the season, but manager A.J. Hinch says it is possible he could start.

"He's getting into that juncture of his career where it's important for him to make a positive impression on us and the rest of baseball," Hinch told MLB.com.
