FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Josh Mauga's career with the New York Jets ended before it even got started.

The Jets waived the former Wolf Pack linebacker on Friday to make room for punter Glen Pakulak.

Mauga who signed with the Jets on Aug 16 never appeared in a game with the team.

He graduated from Nevada this year after posting 54 tackles and three sacks during an injury-filled season.
