Morneau Returns To Minnesota To Visit Specialist

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Twins first baseman Justin Morneau has returned to Minnesota to be examined by a specialist for an inner ear infection that has kept him out of three consecutive games.

Morneau, who has experienced dizziness from the ear problem, is scheduled to see an ear, nose and throat doctor Friday.

The three-time All-Star and 2006 AL MVP has been taking medication but has shown little improvement since the illness began to affect him last weekend. Morneau says he feels better in the mornings, but the dizziness returns later in the day. He started the series opener in Texas on Monday, but left that game early.

Morneau, who leads the Twins with 28 homers and 94 RBIs, says the whole experience has been frustrating.
