Rangers' Minor League Pitcher Throws No-Hitter

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Right-hander Luis Mendoza of Triple-A Oklahoma City threw a no-hitter in the RedHawks' 5-0 victory over Salt Lake City in a Pacific Coast League game on Friday night.

Mendoza, a native of Veracruz, Mexico, struck out six, walked six and hit a batter while throwing 125 pitches.

Mendoza has pitched 32 games for the Texas Rangers over the past three seasons, going 4-8 with a 7.73 ERA.
