ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Tech forward Kammeon Holsey is preparing
for knee surgery that will force him to miss the upcoming basketball season.
Holsey, a 6-foot-8 freshman, will have surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He was hurt while playing basketball on Aug. 1, the school said Monday.
Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt said the injury "is obviously a blow to Kam" but said a full recovery is expected.
Holsey is part of a freshman class ranked among the best in the nation.
