RENO, Nev. (Aug. 8, 2009) – The third round at the PGA TOUR’s Legends Reno-Tahoe Open shook things up for everyone Saturday with the exception of field leader John Rollins who remains in first with a three-day total of 199. At 17 under par, Rollins is four strokes ahead of Ryan Palmer who sits in second, followed by Joe Ogilvie who made the move from 12th into third. The Legends Reno-Tahoe Open leader board is rounded out by Martin Laird in fourth, Rocco Mediate in fifth with 206 and Chris Riley, Robert Garrigus and Shaun Micheel, who finished out round two on Friday just two strokes behind Rollins, tied for sixth.

Rollins hopes to play the odds during tomorrow’s final round as this season, 19 of the 32 third-round leaders have gone on to win. Rollins, however, has yet to move on to victory after a third-round lead. He finished T-2 in 2008 at the event.

In other noteworthy round three news, Marc Leishman made the second eagle in tournament history on the par-four sixth hole from 144 yards. The first was in 2001. Martin Laird added a hole-out eagle on the 18th from 88 yards, helping land him in fourth place, up from T-17 on Friday.
