Whitesell Hits First HR of the Season

WASHINGTON - Josh Whitesell hit his first home run of the season on Friday night in the D'backs 7-6 loss in Washington. It was just the second home run of his major league career.

Whitesell was 1-3 with two runs scored and one walk. He's now batting just .200 on the year.

Whitesell spent most of the season in triple-a with the Reno Aces. He hit .313 with seven home runs and 45 RBI in just 218 at-bats.
