ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Wild have acquired center Kyle Brodziak from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Minnesota's fourth and fifth round picks in this year's draft.
Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher says Minnesota also got Edmonton's sixth-round pick in the deal announced Saturday.
The 25-year-old Brodziak recorded 27 points in 79 games for the Oilers last season. The 6-foot-2 Alberta native recorded career-highs with 14 goals and 17 assists in 80 games with Edmonton in the 2007-08 season.
On Friday night, Fletcher used the Wild's first pick to take defenseman Nick Leddy of Eden Prairie at No. 16. Leddy was Mr. Hockey in Minnesota last season.
