Six-time World Champ Cody Ohl moved into first place overall on the final night before the Reno Rodeo Championship Finals.

Ohl finished the tie-down roping in 8.5 seconds, giving him a 17.7 total for two rounds. That's tops for the week by 1.3 seconds.

Steven Peebles also enjoyed a good night in the bareback. His score of 77 tied for the best of the night, and it gave him a 158 total on two rides. That moved him into a tie for 6th place overall and punched his ticket for the Championship go-round.

Casey Harmon had the best time with 4.9 seconds in the steer wrestling. But his total was not enough to make it into the Finals.

It was a really tough night in the team roping. Only three "teams" even had qualified rides. But none of the competitors on Friday night were good enough to make it to the Championship.

There were two good rides in the saddle bronc. Chet Johnson scored an 85 on his second ride of the week. And Bryce Miller had an 83. His 158 total moved him into a tie for 8th place. Miller is in the Reno Rodeo Finals.

In barrel racing, Shelly Morgan had the fast time of the night with a run of 17.11 seconds.

And it was a great night in bull riding. Two scores were put up, and they were both good ones. Cody Gardner scored an 82, while J.B. Mauney had an 86. Both cowboys qualified for the Championship go-round.
