Corky Miller Designated for Assignment

The Chicago White Sox acquired backup catcher Ramon Castro from the Mets on Friday night. And it cost Corky Miller his job.

Miller was designated for assignment to make room for Castro on the major league roster.

Miller was batting just .205 with five RBI in 14 games with the White Sox. He was originally a non-roster invitee to Spring Training, but he made the big league roster to begin the season.

Miller will likely join the AAA Charlotte Knights this weekend.
