Reno- Ramon Sessions will come home to Reno next week to host a basketball camp in conjunction with the Nevada Basketball Academy. From June 8th – 11th, Sessions will work with local youth basketball athletes at the South Reno Athletic Club.
The former Wolf Pack star becomes a restricted free agent this summer after he had a stellar first full season with the Milwaukee Bucks. Sessions averaged 12.4 ppg, while starting 39 games. As a second round pick, Sessions was assigned to the NBA Development League in December 2007of his rookie season, and made his debut in the NBA on March 10, 2008.
“We are very pleased to have Ramon come back to Reno and host a camp for the youth of Northern Nevada,” said Jason Glover, Director of the Nevada Basketball Academy. “I think the kids that come to the camp and work with Ramon will benefit greatly not only because he’s a professional basketball player but because he’s a great person off the court as well,” he said.
Eathan O’Bryant, another former Wolf Pack star and Harlem Globe Trotter, will partner with Sessions at this camp. There may be other Wolf Pack appearances during the camp as well.
“This will be a treat for the kids as well as the parents to have arguably the two best point guards in Wolf Pack history conducting this camp,” said Glover.
The Nevada Basketball Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the youth of Northern Nevada with the best basketball experience available.
