The Nevada Wolf Pack basketball team is holding onto it's spot in The Associated Press Top 25. The Wolk Pack are ranked 24th again this week in the new A-P poll released today. They received 216 total points. That's 67 points less than 23rd-ranked Georgia Tech and 17 more than Number 25 Tennessee. The top four teams remain unchanged in the new poll, with Florida ranked Number one, followed by North Carolina, Kansas and Pittsburgh. Ohio State moved up three spots to fifth, followed by U-C-L-A, L-S-U, Georgetown, Wisconsin and Alabama. Nevada will take a one-and-oh record into Wednesday night's game at Oregon State. The Wolf pack defeated Division Two's Alaska-Anchorage in the season opener Friday night, 85-to-62. Nick Fazekas had 29 points and 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes of action in that game. He needs 37 points to pass Edgar Jones as Nevada's all-time scoring leader. Fazekas now has one-thousand-841 points. Jones scored one-thousand-877 from 1975 to 1979. The top 25 teams in The Associated Press' college basketball poll, with first-place votes in parentheses, records through Nov. 12, total points based on 25 points for a first-place vote through one point for a 25th-place vote and last week's ranking: Record Pts Pvs 1.
