NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A New Orleans Saints team spokesman says
tight end Jeremy Shockey was taken to a hospital but is doing fine.
Greg Bensel confirmed Sunday that the team was aware that Shockey was taken to a hospital but did not release details.
Celebrity gossip site TMZ.com first reported that Shockey was taken out of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas by stretcher after being found unconscious Sunday afternoon.
Shockey has been in the Pro Bowl four times, most recently in 2006. Before playing for the Saints, Shockey was with the New York Giants. In eight seasons, Shockey has 421 receptions for 4,711
