Qualls Ties Career-High

Former Wolf Pack pitcher Chad Qualls tied a career-high on Tuesday night, picking up his 9th save of the season.

Qualls worked the 9th inning, giving up one hit with two strikeouts in the Diamondbacks 5-3 win over the Marlins.

The nine saves are the third-most in the major leagues. He's also got a 2.40 E.R.A.

Qualls made the switch to closer towards the end of last season. This is the first year he's entered the season in the role.
