NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Brandon Watson stuffed the box score with three hits, a run, an RBI and a stolen base, but the Nashville Sounds scored in six different innings to beat the Aces Friday night, 8-4, at Herschel Greer Stadium.

Reno rallied back from an early to deficit Friday night, pulling to within a run thanks to a three-run sixth inning. But the Sounds offense would score twice in the sixth and add a single tally in the seventh and eighth innings to capture the victory in the series finale.

Aces starter Tony Barnette (2-3) was on the hook after surrendering four runs on eight hits through four innings of work. Out of the Reno bullpen, Josh Ellis allowed two runs in an inning of work, Travis Blackley gave up a run over two innings and Jon Coutlangus surrendered one run in the eighth.

The win went to Nashville’s Tim Dillard (6-1), who scattered three runs on eight hits over 5.2 frames. Chris Narveson picked up a hold and Chris Smith worked a scoreless eighth and ninth to earn the save.

Reno now heads to Memphis to begin a four-game set with the Redbirds, Triple-A Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. In the opener, RHP Seth Etherton (3-2, 5.94 ERA) gets the nod for the Aces. Memphis sends RHP P.J. Walters (1-1, 4.66 ERA) to the hill. First pitch from Memphis’ AutoZone Park is set for 4:05 p.m. PT. The action can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM.

The Aces return home on May 21 for an eight-game homestand. For tickets, stop by the Aces Ballpark Box Office, call (775) 334-7000 or visit www.RenoAces.com.
