BOSTON (AP) - The Red Sox have activated Rocco Baldelli from the disabled list and optioned Jonathan Van Every to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Boston made the moves involving outfielders before Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Indians.

Baldelli went on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring on April 21 after going 3-for-13 with one RBI in five games with the Red Sox. In two rehab appearances at Pawtucket, he went 0-for-7 with an RBI.

Van Every was activated from the disabled list on April 24 after recovering from a sprained right ankle. He went 4-for-11 with his first major league homer in seven games with Boston this year.
