INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) - Two Lake Tahoe-area golf courses will offer free late afternoon rounds this summer in a program designed to ease the strain on consumer pocketbooks and lure new players.
The Incline Village General Improvement District this week announced that after 5 p.m., walking players can golf for free on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesday at the Championship course, and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at the Mountain course.
The promotion has been dubbed the Incline Village Golf Stimulus Plan and is open to residents and nonresidents alike.
Peak summer rates for nonresidents are $175 at the Championship course, or $99 after 4 p.m. Rates at the Mountain course vary from $71 to $44, depending on the day of the week and time of play.
