Police have arrested a man on suspicion of stabbing a friend in the Dodger Stadium parking lot after the club's first home game of the season.
Los Angeles police Capt. Bill Murphy said Monday that 32-year-old Arthur Alvarez was booked for investigation of attempted murder following his arrest Friday.
Murphy says investigators found Alvarez at a house in Santa Clarita. He is being held on $550,000 bail.
Authorities say the victim was a friend of Alvarez. He was stabbed in the back, an arm and body several times.
The stabbing occurred April 13 at the end of the opener, when the Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 11-1.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court clerk says Alvarez has yet to be assigned an attorney. He was to appear in court Monday afternoon.
