Sean O'Hair has won the Quail Hollow Championship, closing with a 3-under 69 for a one-shot victory and redemption from blowing a five-shot lead a month ago to Tiger Woods.
Despite a bogey-bogey finish on the two hardest holes at Quail Hollow, O'Hair handled the blustery, firm conditions better than anyone. Of the final 18 players to tee off Sunday, he was the only one to break 70.
He seized control with an 8-foot birdie on the 16th hole, and was on the practice green when Lucas Glover failed to make birdie on the 18th hole that would have forced a playoff.
Glover (71) and Bubba Watson (70) finished one shot behind.
Woods finished with 10 straight pars for a 72 to finish alone in fourth, two shots behind.
