Aces Win Back-to-Back Games for 1st Time in Franchise History

The Reno Aces beat the Portland Beavers 5-4 on Friday night in extra innings.

Augie Morillo walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th inning. That brought home Rusty Ryal with the winning run.

The Aces trailed 2-0 in the bottom of the 5th, scoring three runs in the inning to take the lead. Josh Whitesell got the scoring started with an RBI double to left-center field. He was 2-2 with two doubles on the night.

Seth Etherton got the start for Reno, giving up three runs on four hits. He also struck out five in seven innings of work. Bobby Korecky (1-0) picked up the win for Reno. He pitched one and a third innings of relief.

It's the first time that the Aces have even won back-to-back games. They are now 9-12 overall. They host the Beavers for game three of the series on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is set for 1:05pm.
