NBC horse racing analyst Bob Neumeier was taken to a Louisville hospital on Friday after collapsing during a telecast from Churchill Downs.
Neumeier was off camera during "Ladies First: Bravo at the Kentucky Derby" when he fell ill said track spokesman Darren Rogers. He was taken to Audubon Hospital a short distance from the track, where he was awake and alert.
Neumeier was being held for observation and will not participate in NBC's coverage of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.
