The Chicago Blackhawks have eliminated Calgary from the NHL playoffs, beating the Flames 4-1 in Game 6 of their first-round Western Conference series Monday night.

The Blackhawks scored three times in the first two periods and easily held on to advance. They will play either San Jose or Vancouver in the next round.

Patrick Kane, Adam Burish and Brian Campbell got the Blackhawks rolling, with Kane and Campbell connecting on power plays. Todd Bertuzzi scored early in the third period for Calgary, but Dustin Byfuglien's empty-net goal ended the Flames' chances.
