Several reports out of Washington, D.C. claim that Flip Saunders will become the next head coach of the Washington Wizards.

Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the two sides have reached a verbal agreement on a four-year contract worth $18 million dollars.

Saunders reached the playoffs eight times with the Timberwolves and three times with Detroit. He led the Pistons to the Eastern Conference finals all three times.

At 19-62 overall, the Wizards have the second-worst record in the NBA.

Former Wolf Pack star JaVale McGee is a rookie on the team.
