Just about every basebal player got their start plaing in the Little Leagues, but the struggling economy is putting many of those organizations in a financial bind.
One example is right here in Reno, where many of the coaches from the Reno Fastpitch Girls Softball League have been paying for some equiptment with their own money to keep the league afloat.
With registration down 30 percent and sponsorship down 20 percent the 5-18 year-old league finds itself in an economic pinch.
