Former Wolf Pack basketball star Kirk Snyder is facing another assault charge after he allegedly beat up a fellow inmate last night at the Warren County Jail.
An inmate, Timothy King, says he was attacked by Snyder while the two were in the holding cell at the jail. King said he had his arms inside his shirt because it was cold, and Snyder came up behind him and grabbed him around the neck.
A corrections officer came in and used a taser on both men to break up the fight. Snyder was charged while the other man was not.
Snyder is also facing charges of aggravated burglary and felony assault. He allegedly broke into his neighbor's house early Monday morning and beat Brad Roberts while he was sleeping. Roberts was taken to the hospital and treated for a broken jaw and broken ribs.
Snyder pleaded not guilty to those charges today by way of his attorney Hal Arenstein. Snyder was not present, and has refused to even speak with Arenstein.
Snyder has been placed on a suicide watch and will be given a psych exam. A preliminary hearing is set for April 16th.
