Michigan QB Out 4-6 Weeks with Broken Leg

Michigan quarterback Nick Sheridan will miss the rest of spring drills with a broken leg.

Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez said on Thursday that Sheridan was injured during a scrimmage on Tuesday.

Sheridan is expected to be out for four to six weeks and should be able to work out with his teammates this summer.

He started four games last season, going 63-of-137 for 613 yards passing with two touchdowns and five interceptions. He shared time with Steven Threet, who said last month he plans to transfer.

In five practices this spring, Sheridan split time running the first-string offense with freshman Tate Forcier, who enrolled early to improve his chances of starting in the fall.
