Adam Krikorian, who led UCLA to seven water polo national titles in the last 10 years, is the new head coach of the U.S. women's national team.

Krikorian replaces Guy Baker, who recently became director of
the Olympic development department after guiding the women to three
consecutive Olympic medals.

The 34-year-old Krikorian will step down from his position with
the UCLA women's team at the end of this season, but will remain on
the men's staff.

A former standout on UCLA's water polo team from 1992 to 1995,
Krikorian went on to earn national coach of the year honors five
times (2001, '05, '06, '07 and '08). He also received coach of the
year honors in 2004 after guiding the UCLA men's program to its
eighth NCAA championship.
