STORRS, Conn. (AP) — A University of Connecticut spokesman is declining to comment on a report by Yahoo Sports that the school violated NCAA rules in recruiting former basketball player Nate Miles.

Yahoo cites documents and multiple sources in reporting that recruiting rules were broken when Miles was provided with lodging, transportation, meals and representation by Josh Nochimson, a sports agent who was UConn's student manager between 2006 and 2008.

The report says UConn basketball staff was in frequent contact with Nochimson during a nearly two-year period up to and after Miles' recruitment. The 6-foot-7 forward from Toledo, Ohio, was expelled from UConn in October after he was charged with violating a restraining order.

NCAA officials also declined to comment.
