The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ranked the University of Nevada women’s tennis team No. 59 in the nation Tuesday.

The Wolf Pack (3-6, 0-1 Western Athletic Conference) was ranked No. 54 last week for the first time this season. The No. 54 ranking was the highest ranking in the history of the program.

Nevada is coming off a thrilling 4-3 victory over then-ranked No. 25 Long Beach State on March 13 in Long Beach, Calif. Despite losing 4-0 to then-No. 38 UC Irvine the next day, the Wolf Pack pulled another upset victory the following day by defeating then-No. 50 San Diego 4-3 in San Diego, Calif.

The team returns to action this week after having a week off as the Wolf Pack will conclude its road schedule this weekend in Wichita, Kan., facing three currently ranked teams beginning with No. 24 SMU on Friday, No. 66 and host Wichita State on Saturday and then Louisville on Sunday.
