Dahl Earns $255,938 in Bonus

Updated: Tue 5:33 PM, Mar 24, 2009

Atlanta Falcons' RG Harvey Dahl earned an extra $255,938 dollars this season.

Dahl earned the money thanks to the NFL's performance-based pool. The system rewards players whose playing time was disproportionate to their salary.

Last season, each team's performance-based pool was $3.258 million dollars. That money was to be divvied up among the team's eligible players.

54 Falcons players received additional compensation, with Dahl leading the way with $255,938. His base salary for 2008 was $445,000 dollars.

Dahl was Atlanta's starting right guard last season, playing so well he even garnered a vote in the AP NFL All-Pro Team.

The Fallon native was originally an undrafted free agent out of Nevada. He was an All-WAC selection as a tackle with the Wolf Pack.
