Houston quarterback Blake Joseph has decided not to return for his final year of eligibility.
Coach Kevin Sumlin announced Monday that Joseph had left the team.
Joseph is scheduled to graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in sports administration. He would have one year of eligibility left should he transfer to another school.
Joseph split time at quarterback and wide receiver last year
after Case Keenum won the starting quarterback job. In 2007, Joseph
started five games at quarterback and threw for 1,324 yards and
nine touchdowns and rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown. In his
career at Houston, he played in 22 games and threw for 1,581 yards
and 10 touchdowns.
