Sharks Clowe Out A Week

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Left wing Ryane Clowe will be out of the San Jose Sharks' lineup for at least a week after undergoing lower-body surgery.

Clowe is the latest San Jose regular to be sidelined by an unspecified injury, which apparently occurred during the Sharks' loss at Phoenix on Tuesday night.

The power forward is the Sharks' fourth-leading scorer with 52 points while playing in all 69 games on San Jose's second line.

San Jose began Thursday trailing Detroit by three points for the overall NHL lead. The Sharks faced Nashville without forwards Clowe, Mike Grier, Tomas Plihal, Jeremy Roenick and Claude Lemieux.

Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff returned to the Sharks' lineup after missing three games with a lower-body injury.
