Illinois coach Bruce Weber says injured guard Chester Frazier is a long shot to play in the Illini's NCAA Tournament opener against Western Kentucky on Thursday.
If the senior defensive workhorse plays, Weber says it'll only
be a little.
Weber says even a few minutes of Frazier might help fifth-seeded
Illinois (24-9) against the 12th-seed Hilltoppers. Western Kentucky
(24-8) relies heavily on its guards.
Frazier hurt his hand in practice last week and had surgery. He
missed the Big Ten tournament.
Frazier has declined to say whether the heavily wrapped hand is
broken. He has said the decision to play will be his.
