Anheuser-Busch is ending its sponsorship of the NHRA.
The St. Louis-based division of Anheuser-Busch InBev also
announced Monday that it will end its 30-year relationship with
Kenny Bernstein Racing's NHRA team. The brewery said the
three-decade relationship was the longest in motorsports history,
eclipsing STP's 28-year sponsorship of NASCAR's Richard Petty.
A news release did not say why the brewery was ending its
sponsorship. Calls to Anheuser-Busch were not returned.
Bernstein won six NHRA championships with Budweiser as his
sponsor. He retired in 2003 and his son, Brandon, took over as the
driver.
KBR is seeking a new sponsor.
