The Denver Nuggets have suspended Carmelo Anthony for one game for an "in-game transgression" Sunday against Indiana.
Nuggets vice president of player personnel Rex Chapman did not
elaborate on what Anthony did to earn the punishment.
The Nuggets said in a news release that Anthony will miss
Denver's game at Detroit on Tuesday night and will return Thursday
against Portland.
Earlier Monday, a team spokesman said Anthony would miss the
Pistons game because of a personal matter he had to deal with in
Denver.
Anthony has been bothered by a balky knee and has shot poorly
his last two games, going just 12-of-41 from the field.
