An agreement that would allow David Beckham to finish the season with AC Milan before rejoining the Los Angeles Galaxy reportedly is close to being finalized.
The Los Angeles Times reports on its Web site that the deal
would call for Beckham to miss the first 17 games of the MLS season
before returning to the Galaxy in mid-July. The Times cited a
person close to the negotiations who requested anonymity because
the deal was not yet signed.
Beckham had been due to report to Los Angeles on March 9. The
Times says the proposed agreement would allow him to remain with AC
Milan until the Italian season ends on May 31st. If that's the
case, his first appearance of the season with the Galaxy would be
on July 18 in New York.
