MARANA, Ariz. (AP) - Phil Mickelson has joined Tiger Woods in exiting the Match Play Championship before the weekend. Mickelson was ousted by Stewart Cink (SIHNK) 1-up when he missed a 20-foot birdie putt on the final hole. Cink raced out to a 3-up lead after four holes. Mickelson battled back to even the match on 16 but fell behind again one hole later and couldn't recover.

Joining Cink in the quarterfinals is Northern Ireland's 19-year old Rory McIlroy. He beat Tim Clark 4 and 3 a day after the South Africa eliminated Woods. England's Ross Fisher took out Jim Furyk 4 and 3.

The other five who advanced are Ernie Els, Geoff Ogilvy, Justin
Leonard, Sean O'Hair and Paul Casey.
