What a difference a year has made for Matt Kenseth.
After going winless last year, Kenseth is perfect so far in the
young NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Kenseth is the fifth driver in
NASCAR history to follow a victory in the Daytona 500 with a
victory the following week. He's the first driver to open the
NASCAR season with two victories since Jeff Gordon did it in 1997.
Kenseth took the lead with 38 laps to go and easily won the Auto
Club 500 in Southern California. Gordon ran second followed by Kyle
Busch, Greg Biffle and Kurt Busch in the top five.
Three-time reigning champion Jimmie Johnson finished ninth.
